Question
Will the street lights allow for sign attachments to advertise the planned downtown events? Or will there be other elements implemented for advertising apart from the fixtures?
replies
Question
Would enforcement of parking time limits, increasing circulation of vehicles throughout the day & night, help in these areas?
replies
Suggestion
Maybe a future initiative - but worth noting: Encourage building & business owners to utilize C-2 zoning codes which allow dwelling units on the 2nd+ floor of buildings with active/approved ground level businesses. Increase foot traffic and access to housing for workers at downtown businesses.
replies
Suggestion
Recommend including Police in Strategy 2 as their presence will be important for business owners and their workers to feel comfortable to stay open late.
replies
Question
What is the plan in case a business owner does not want to participate, cannot be found or the building doesn't have active service? Will fixtures still be ordered for those sites, installed or skipped?
replies
Suggestion
Adding the Licensing Agent to Strategy #1 will help ensure all licensing procedures, timelines and document requirements are discussed and met.
