February 2024 Buckley Planning Commission: Review of Future Land Use Map

Please respond to the prompts to help us finalize the future land use map that will help to determine how Buckley develops over the next 20 years.

We're considering updates to Buckley's future land use map as part of the 2024 Comprehensive Plan update to ensure that the city can support housing and businesses in ways that enhance the quality of the community and that align with the City's vision. The future land use map will help determine future zoning changes and development regulations.

You can use the reference map here to help you to respond to the prompts in the pdf below. The map includes layers for existing land use, existing zoning, proposed future land use designations and parcels that are vacant or redevelopable.

This number will likely be adjusted down to reflect growth target needs. The reason that it is high is to allow more middle housing types that are likely to be affordable to households making less than 100% area median income (Buckley's growth target includes 265 units for these income brackets).
