Connect the Junction Vision and Big Ideas

The Connect the Junction Master Plan will outline strategies for transit-oriented development on Pearl Street, Park Street, and Five Corners. This document highlights proposed goals and action items that will guide the development of that plan. The community is invited to weigh in on these goals and share thoughts on how this plan can work towards a City Center with diverse housing options, safe and effective transit, a comfortable and engaging experience with pedestrians and cyclists, and high quality public space.

Question
Can we use this opportunity to correct past planning mistakes before we commit to new ones? Park Terr/Park St: adding more apartments & commercial properties while we have no delivery areas so trucks park illegally in the street. Cars backing up into incoming traffic (this was actually approved?) more pedestrians and vehicles using Park Terrace without a SIDEWALK! What about safety? 7 story buildings in the Village Center! I have never heard any resident say they think that’s a good idea. Only developers that don’t live here are lobbying for this.
